| Thanks to everyone who attended the Snowdonia Enduro on Saturday (29th August). Everyone we've spoken to says they enjoyed themselves and had a great day! |
Thanks to all the marshals, timekeepers, the helpers from Dolwyddelan, Mike from the Spar with his BBQ, Flowriders, Llyr from MWS (Ruthin) Ltd with the bike wash and the First Aiders from the Red Cross.
Some Statistics for You:
Number of Riders: 104
Lap 1 of the 24km and 48km Enduro had 1181 feet (360 metres) of climb
Other laps, including the 8km 11am start Enduro, had 1004 feet (306 metres) of climb
This means that the amount of climb for each event was:
8km Enduro - 1004 feet (306 metres) of climbing
24km Enduro - 3189 feet (972 metres) of climbing
48km Enduro - 6201 feet (1890 metres) of climbing (Snowdon is 1085 metres)
Total height climbed on the day: 416,938 feet! (This is the equivalent of going up Everest 14.4 times!)
Total distance ridden: 3168km (This is like riding from Dolwyddelan to Paris and back - twice!)
Well done to everyone who took part!
