Here are the details of the kit you will need on our Skills Training, Bike Maintenance and Introduction to Night Riding courses.
Skills Training Days
- Suitable Mountain Bike (in good working condition)*
- Cycle Helmet*
- Water bottle - full of non-fizzy drink, minimum 1 litre per half day
- Gloves
- Eye protection
- Long-sleeved top - must cover elbows (eg long sleeved T-shirt or fleece depending on weather)
- Suitable trousers - NOT jeans, must cover knees (eg tracksuit bottoms, cycling leggings)
- Waterproof jacket
- Suitable footwear (eg trainers, cross-trainers, walking shoes)
- Backpack, with spare clothing
- Suntan Lotion and Insect Repellent
- Food - some high energy foods (eg banana, energy bar) for during rides
- Hat and extra layers of warm clothes
- Personal medication, if required.

Bike Maintenance
- Suitable Mountain Bike, if you want to practise on your own bike
- Food - including lunch
- Personal medication, if required.
Introduction to Night Riding
- Suitable Mountain Bike (in good working condition)*
- Cycle Helmet*
- Night Ride Lights*
- Water bottle - full of non-fizzy drink, minimum 1 litre per half day
- Gloves
- EYE PROTECTION - you will not be allowed to ride without this
- Long-sleeved top - must cover elbows (eg long sleeved T-shirt or fleece depending on weather)
- Suitable trousers - NOT jeans, must cover knees (eg tracksuit bottoms, cycling leggings)
- Waterproof jacket
- Suitable footwear (eg trainers, cross-trainers, walking shoes)
