Winter in Morzine - Jonathan (December 2009)

I have just had a few days in Morzine, but this time on Skis! I haven't been skiing for about 12 years, it was great to be back on the snow. The thing which hit me the most, was how similar it is to biking, lots of transfer of body weight, looking well ahead, keeping your shoulders heading downhill and keeping relaxed. It was great to see the Portes du Soleil in the Snow; it is stunning, obviously very different to the summer with all the mountain biking tracks I know so well. In the winter the only clue that biking takes place here is a bit of North Shore in Pre la Joux which can just about be seen!
